Gregory Alan Weddle passed away in Frisco, Colorado on July 16, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana with Fr. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Visitation will also be Friday, July 26, 2024, beginning at 9:00 AM at Kennedy & Sons Funeral Home, Pana. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana Township, Illinois. Memorials in honor of Greg may be made to Pana Sacred Heart School or Kerr-Mize American Legion Post #168, Pana.
Gregory was born on September 20, 1956, at Castle Air Force base in Atwater, California to Dorothy Margaret (Dudra) Weddle and Gene Kenneth Weddle, the third of eight children. He was a 1974 graduate of Pana High School. Greg served in the United States Marine Corps, 4th Marine Air Wing stationed in Michigan and Hawaii, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was a jet engine mechanic for OV10 Bronco aircraft and F4 Phantom fighter jets. It was in the Marine Corps that Greg met his best friend, Chuck
