Richard Allen Randall, 89, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on February 10, 2025, at Pana Community Hospital in Pana, IL. He was born on December 23, 1935, to the late Walter and Ruby (Dunn) Randall. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Uffelman on March 7, 2007, in Aurora, MO, and she survives.
Richard obtained a master's degree and went on to teach history in Springfield, IL, for many years. He was an active member of the Elks Club and was an avid Mizzou Football fan. Richard had a green thumb and was a master gardener at the Illinois Extension.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Randall of Taylorville, IL, and his stepson, Carl (Michelle) Poeschel of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 10:00-12:00 noon at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. A funeral service will begin at noon with Pastor Jim Ferrill officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
